The busy season is over at last, which means summer break has officially begun. What’s even better is the weather seems to be cooperating, as temps are climbing to uncomfortable highs. Why is that a good thing, you ask? It means it’s finally time for me to hibernate stay indoors and write!

This past month I’ve not had much time to post updates, so allow me to make up for it now. The most recent news is that I’ve added a new EVENTS page to my website. It is the best place to visit if you’re looking to find the latest interviews or events I’ll be participating in. Speaking of which, I’ll be a guest on the YouTube channel Bald and Balding to talk about AWAKENING next Tuesday at 7 PM EST! (The original date was today but we ended up having to postpone it a week.)

As far as where I’m at currently with my writing progress, I’m chugging along editing book two’s second draft while also heavily plotting book three. My plan is to write book three’s first draft while book two is sent out to beta readers to review. Book two’s second draft is good but there are small details that need editing, such as additional character development and plot details that need strengthening.

I’ve really been enjoying plotting book three as the main location within the story is one of my favorites in the entire series. I’ve been dreaming of it for so many years! It’s exciting to finally be at the stage where I can detail its design and infrastructure, all of which feeds into the society, beliefs, and history of people that live there.
