First, I want to say thank you for your patience while I took some time off social media to grieve over the loss of a close family member. I received so many lovely messages and kind letters from everyone! They truly helped bolster my spirit during a very difficult time and I will always keep them close to my heart.

Looking back at 2025, it was a year of extreme highs and lows. The lows were mentioned above, so let’s take a moment to reflect on the highs. I wrote an entire book, the first draft for Alignment, which is the second book in The Stone Key Chronicles series! Awakening’s interior was also fully edited and formatted, and work began on its cover art. An artist that specializes in illuminated manuscripts completed a commissioned map of my world which will eventually be available as a series collectible for fans to enjoy. I met and befriended some incredibly talented authors whose friendships and advice I will always treasure.

Now, on to the New Year. 2026 is the year, folks! It is the year the first book in my epic fantasy series will be published! 2026 is the year of Awakening. Can you believe we’re finally here? It seems like a lifetime ago when I first sat down to a four-inch-thick dinosaur of a laptop with missing keys for “V” and “K” and wrote my very first draft of Awakening. Yet here we are at last, on the brink of announcing its official release date. I have butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it!

Since I know everyone wants the main information up front, let’s get to the specifics. I don’t have exact dates yet for the cover reveal or the book release because the cover is not yet finished. Jeff Brown, amazing epic fantasy artist that he is, began working on Awakening’s cover at the beginning of November. The last draft he sent me was absolutely stunning! I can say with confidence, the final cover art will definitely stand out and capture the unique characters, world, and epic adventure within the story. It is something book lovers will want to showcase on their bookshelves for sure!

As soon as the cover is done, I will be ordering physical proofs. Once I sign off on those and a book release date is chosen, I will send out press release kits announcing the official publishing date and the cover reveal. The information will also be posted here so check back soon for those details! In the meantime, my focus will be on preparing for the release. I’ve got press kits to put together, series merch to produce, and book signings and interviews to schedule. As you can see, 2026 is shaping up to be a very productive year!
