Updates and changes are afoot!

As you’ve probably noticed, my website has been given another facelift. While it may look rather plain right now, the new look is in preparation to show off the book cover artwork for Awakening once it is finalized. The change also reflects the switch over to making this website the main location for news about myself and my book series so that everything can be found in one place.

In the meantime, Awakening’s manuscript interior is actively being worked on. The copy editing and proofreading phase is finished, and the interior formatting is nearing completion as well. Besides a surprise side project I am working on that will be included in the interior, the book is almost to the point where I can set it aside and turn my full attention on Book II, Alignment.

My goal is to finish Alignment’s first draft by November, so I can then focus on Awakening’s publishing launch. I am planning on Awakening’s publishing date to be this late fall, early winter, just in time for holiday gift shopping. Why so late in the year? The cover artist I’ve secured is so popular, he wasn’t available until then, but as amazing as his illustrations are, it will be worth the wait! (More on who the artist is coming later this year!)

If you thought all the above is quite a bit to fit into the calendar year, just wait, there’s more! My husband and I are also launching an LLC which will act as an umbrella company for us to publish our books and music under. While that is happening, I am also building an online store where fans of my book series will be able to purchase exclusive collectibles such as maps, tees, and accessories. The store will most likely launch early next year.

The lack of posts here reflects how hard I’m working to tick off items on my to-do list. Posts may not be as consistent, but a lot is getting done behind the scenes!
